Terms of Service

1. Who we are

TheWay is operated by Kai'Ros International Technologies ("KAIR"), a ministry of Summit Bible Center. All subscription revenue funds the Kai'Ros International orphanage in Kumasi, Ghana. You can reach us at support@summitbiblecenter.com.

2. What TheWay is

TheWay is an educational and devotional platform that helps parents disciple their children from womb through age 18. It offers AI-assisted coaching, developmental milestone tracking, and the Entrusted journal. Coaching is advisory, not prescriptive — parents make the final call on every decision affecting their family.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to hold an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Children may write entries through invite codes issued by their parent; those entries are attributed to the child and authored under parental permission.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid tiers are billed via Stripe on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds except where required by law.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: upload content you do not have rights to share; upload content that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a minor; abuse the AI coaching endpoints for bulk automated use; or attempt to circumvent rate limits or RLS policies. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. AI coaching disclaimer

AI-generated coaching is a tool, not a substitute for pastoral, medical, psychological, or legal advice. If your child is in crisis, contact emergency services or a licensed professional immediately. TheWay does not contradict KJV Scripture intentionally; if you encounter AI output that does, please submit it via the Make Us Better feedback system so we can correct it.

7. Content ownership

You retain ownership of everything you write, photograph, or record in your Entrusted journal. You grant KAIR a limited license to store, process, and render that content back to you and, at your direction, to your child on delivery. We do not sell your content to third parties.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from settings. On deletion, we remove personal data as described in the Privacy Policy, subject to legal retention requirements (e.g., financial records for tax compliance).

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheWay and KAIR are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us during that period.

10. Changes to these terms

We will notify active users by email before material changes take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which KAIR is registered, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
